The first Sichuan and Chongqing invitational frisbee and football tournament kicks off

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the occasion of Chongqing's "National Fitness Month", the first Sichuan-Chongqing Ultimate Frisbee Invitational Tournament and National Fitness Football Invitational Tournament kicked off last weekend at the Youth Football Stadium of Chongqing Olympic Sports Centre.
According to the introduction, the tournament by the Chongqing Municipal Sports Bureau guidance, Chongqing Olympic Sports Center, Chongqing Jiulongpo District Sports Bureau to host. This event is the first one led by Sichuan and Chongqing stadiums this year, which is an innovative brand event for national fitness in Chengdu and Chongqing.

According to the schedule, the participants will compete in a number of Frisbee and football matches over a period of 3 weeks, and will eventually compete for the final places. One of the tournaments, the Frisbee Invitational, will be held from April 8 to 9, with two categories, A and B. And there will be 8 Frisbee teams, with 184 Frisbee enthusiasts playing 16 matches against each other. The football tournament will be played over six days and 16 matches will be played against each other to determine the first and second runners-up.
In March this year, Chongqing Olympic Sports Centre released a schedule of events for 2023, which included six Sichuan-Chongqing brand events, including the Sichuan-Chongqing 3vs3 Basketball Tournament, the Sichuan-Chongqing Youth Athletics Invitational Tournament, the 3rd Sichuan-Chongqing Badminton Invitational Tournament and the Sichuan-Chongqing Free Fighting Tournament.
In addition, the stadium associations of Sichuan and Chongqing will actively link up to carry out all-round cooperation in the exchange of stadium workers, talent exchange, stadium construction and training management, to promote the common construction and sharing of stadiums between the two regions and make greater contributions to the integrated and synergistic development of sports in Chengdu and Chongqing.
