A new batch of sports cultural relics on display in Chongqing Sports Museum

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On April 12th, Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Sports hosted a special donation activity in the High-tech Industrial Development Zone for the collection of cultural relics from the Chongqing Sports Museum. The reporter learned that a new batch of sports relics were on display such as gold medals for shooting, and the bow and arrow used in the opening ceremony of the "Chongqing Incheon Friendship Archery Competition for the 15th Anniversary of the Chongqing-Incheon Relationship”.

The Archery Association of High-tech Industrial Development Zone donated the bow and arrow used in the opening ceremony of the "Chongqing Incheon Friendship Archery Competition for the 15th Anniversary of the Chongqing-Incheon Relationship". This reflex bow is about 1.6 meters long, with blue handles made of alloy.

Chang Xiaolin, from the Archery Association of the High tech Industrial Development Zone, introduced that they donated this set of bow and arrow with special significance to Chongqing Sports Museum, hoping that more citizens will learn and participate in archery, understand traditional Chinese archery culture, and the important role that sports play in promoting international friendship.

At the same time, the Administrative Service and Social Affairs Service Center of Chongqing Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone donated a replica of the national ritual for this archery friendship competition to the Chongqing Sports Museum – the "Qishe Vase", which is carved with traditional Chinese patterns of riding and shooting and made by "Chongqing Rongchang Antao", a place produces one of the four famous ceramics in China.

Gold medals witnessing the supreme goal

At this donation activity, Zhou Xiaolu, the gold medalist of the Paralympic Shooting World Cup 2022, donated 2 gold medals in total, and one of them is the shooting gold medal of the 11th National Paralympic Games.

Zhou Xiaolu, 35 years old this year, is an excellent shooter sent by the High-tech Industrial Development Zone to the national team. She has been participating in shooting training since 2006 and achieved good results in the Municipal Games, National Games, and international competitions through hard practice and perseverance. However, she also sets a supreme goal – to win the Olympic champion, for which she is still striving.

Sun Zhongxia, another excellent shooter from the High-tech Industrial Development Zone, donated the gold medal of the youth shooting event of the 6th Chongqing Games.

In addition, Chongqing No. 1 Secondary School donated a batch of old photos taken since its establishment in 1931 to Chongqing Sports Museum, which record the school's history of sports development. Chongqing Science City Baishiyi Second Primary School donated a stone lock weighing 18.1 kilograms, which has witnessed the school's 82-year development history.
