Nanbin road becomes a sea of joy last weekend

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As the starting-gun shot split the air, Chongqing Landmark Riverside Half Marathon 2023 kicked off at 7:30 a.m. on April 16 on Nan’bin Road, Nan’an District. With 20,000 runners gathering here, Nanbin Road becomes a sea of joy.

Huge crowds of runners looked like a giant dragon lying on Nanbin Road at 7:00 a.m. After two years, Chongqing Landmark Riverside Half Marathon finally came back!

As the starting-gun shot split the air at 7:300 a.m., all runners ran like a bat out of hell, measuring Chongqing with their steps.

You could see mothers pushing a baby stroller and fathers carrying a child on their shoulders on the track. The marathon became a haven of joy for children.

The iconic Chongqing Yangtze River Cableway and Nanbin Road were filled with people, a scene that perhaps could only be seen at that moment.

In 1 hour, 7 minutes, and 11 seconds, Zhou Bo took first place in the race. After the race he said, "Chongqing is my lucky place!"

Who says women are not as good as men in terms of sports? Wang Min, a participant from Guizhou, finished the race in 1 hour, 15 minutes, and 50 seconds, winning the women's group championship and breaking the race record. As she crossed the line, she raised her arms high in the air and cheered.
