CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As one of the key solid works in terms of the people's well-being, projects for improving the walking convenience at stations of urban rail transit in Chongqing has drawn a great attention of the public. The reporter recently learned from the Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development that it is planned to improve the walking convenience of 60 stations urban rail transit in Chongqing within three years. At present, 46 projects at stations such as Tongyuanju station and Guanyinqiao station have been put into use, and the rest are under construction.

The project for improving the walking convenience at Tianlilu station is near the Tianlilu Station of CRT Line 9 in Shapingba District, an area with dense residential areas and population and high demand for travel by rail transit train and street crossing. Therefore, two new entrances will be built for the project, namely the 2A entrance adjacent to Binxin Yunjingtiancheng and the 2B entrance near Tianxing Kangyun.

At present, the civil works of the project have been basically completed and the decorative works are to be conducted. After the project is completed and put into use, it will take less time for citizens to get to the stations nearby and cross the streets, improving the public transportation service capacity in the Yankou area, creating a good convenient, comfortable, and efficient walking system around the rail stations, and further enhancing the sense of gain and happiness of the citizens.

The project for improving the walking convenience of Zhengjiayuanzi station is near the intersection of Xingai Avenue and Zijing Road, Longxi Sub-district, Yubei District. Due to the terrain elevation difference, residents living in surrounding communities need to walk a long distance to Zhengjiayuanzi station of CRT Line 3, which is very inconvenient.

To make it more convenient to walk, a walkway of about 50 meters in length and 2.4 meters in width will be built along the slope of Xingai Avenue for the project, and an escalator will be installed to solve the problem of terrain elevation difference, which will be connected to the Zijing Branch Road. At the same time, the slope will be revegetated to make it more beautiful naturally. At present, the walkway is under construction. After it is completed and put into use, it will be more convenient for residents living in communities like Zhongyu L'AMBASSADEUR, Jinzi Community, No. 1 Peak Road, etc. to travel.
