CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- During the Smart China Expo 2023, a total of 11 bus routes will be opened around Chongqing International Expo Center and its surrounding areas, with transport capacity of 139 buses; a total of 89 trains will be arranged for three rail transit lines; 500 "Lei Feng taxis" will be dispatched daily to transport passengers in an orderly manner at the designated area in the International Expo Center at different times.

On August 31, at the press conference on the preparations for the Smart China Expo 2023, Chen Yongzhong, Deputy Director of Chongqing Transport Bureau, introduced the above situation, adding that everything is now in place.

11 bus routes

Hourly transportation capacity reaching 24,000 passenger trips

A total of 11 bus routes will be opened around the International Expo Center and its surrounding areas, with transport capacity of 139 buses and an hourly transportation capacity of 24000 passenger trips. The details are as follows:

First, there are 7 regular bus routes with transport capacity of 54 buses, running in directions such as Yubei Lianglu, Konggang Jiayuan, and Beibei Tongxing.

Second, there is 1 shuttle route in the core area, with transport capacity of 20 buses and 9 stops, running around the exhibition hall of the Smart China Expo and temporary parking lots on the south and north sides.

Third, there are 3 routes connecting the surrounding parking lots to the exhibition hall of the Smart China Expo, with transport capacity of 15 buses, transporting passengers in the near areas such as the parking lot on the north side of Central Park, the outdoor parking lot of the Joy City Business District, and the parking lot of Xiantao Data Valley Commercial-office Building.

Forth, 50 buses of mobile emergency transport capacity will be arranged for emergencies to ensure that visitors will be evacuated timely.

89 trains for 3 lines

Hourly transport capacity reaching 67,000 passenger trips

In terms of rail transit, a total of 89 trains will be arranged for 3 lines, including 12 trains for Guobo Branch Line, 50 trains for Line 6, and 27 trains for Line 10, with an hourly transport capacity of 67,000 passenger trips. Three measures should be taken as follows:

One is to shorten the running interval to provide maximum transport capacity. For example, the minimum running interval between Lijia and Yuelai on Guobo Line should be shortened from 10 minutes to 4 minutes and 20 seconds; the minimum running interval on Line 6 during peak hours is 2 minutes and 50 seconds, and the interval is 4 minutes during off-peak period.

Another is to improve the passenger transport organization capacity at stations such as International Expo Center and Yuelai, and better serve passengers by strengthening monitoring of passenger flow, increasing staff for guidance service, setting up more service facilities, and providing travel tips.

The last one is to arrange 1-3 backup trains for Line 6 and Line 10, both on hot standby duty, which will be put into operation at any time in case of emergencies.

500 "Lei Feng” taxis dispatched daily

In terms of taxis (including online ride-hailing cars), 500 "Lei Feng” taxis will be dispatched daily to orderly transport passengers at the designated area in the International Expo Center at different times. According to changes in passenger flow, information on transport capacity demand will be pushed through the taxi service supervision system to guide taxi drivers to the area. Online ride-hailing platform companies will dispatch vehicles nearby to participate in transportation in a scientific and reasonably manner based on on-site order demand.
