CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- China’s 150 billionth express parcel of the year arrived at J&T Express' transit center in Yubei District, Chongqing on the afternoon of November 18. This marks a historic milestone, with China’s express delivery industry surpassing 1.5 billion parcels in annual volume for the first time, setting a new record.

The 150 billionth parcel is a package of “Huaniu” apples from Gansu Province. “This parcel was ordered by a customer in Chongqing on November 17. The Tianshui Maiji Industrial Park delivery hub of J&T Express collected the package the same day, and it arrived in Xi'an that night. After being transferred in Xi'an, it reached Chongqing in the afternoon of November 18. It will be sent to our Jiefangbei delivery hub on the morning of November 19 and delivered to the customer promptly,” said Shen Chongyang, the head of J&T Express in Chongqing.

The recipient of this parcel is a mother from Chongqing. “These apples are fragrant with a fine, crisp texture that my child loves. I had purchased them online before and was so impressed that I ordered again. It’s an honor to receive the 150 billionth express parcel; it feels like winning a grand prize.”
