CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On March 27, at the construction site of the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway, workers completed the installation of a steel crossbeam for the high-speed rail.

In the early hours of the same day, at the construction site of the Fushou Chongqing-Wanzhou Intercity Grand Bridge, part of the Chengdu-Wanzhou-Dazhou High-speed Railway’s Left Line project (undertaken by China Railway No.3 Engineering Group), a steel crossbeam weighing 165.8 tons was successfully lowered onto its supports. This marks the completion of the first steel beam installation across an existing high-speed railway (Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-speed Railway), laying a crucial foundation for the future installation of other bridge sections.

Once completed, the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-speed Railway will provide a fast, direct passenger transport link from Chengdu through Wanzhou to the Central Plains and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. This project is of great significance for advancing the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and other national strategies.
