CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On May 11, 2025 International Wetland City (Liangping) Summer Running Group Challenge and China Marathon Majors Chongqing Running for Charity PK Competition officially kicked off at Shuanggui Lake National Wetland Park in Liangping District, attracting over a thousand runners from 11 provinces and cities.

Liangping is renowned for its three prestigious titles, such as “International Wetland City”, “International Natural City”, and “City with Flourishing Low-Altitude Economy in Western China”. This event seamlessly combines sports with ecology and culture. It also marks the first time that both China Marathon Majors and Chongqing Marathon, two gold-standard events, have been held in Liangping.
