CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On June 11, technicians welded rebar cages at an intelligent steel processing facility for the Dianjiang-Fengdu-Wulong Expressway project.

Multiple such smart factories along the Dianjiang-Fengdu-Wulong Expressway now operate cutting-edge automated equipment, utilizing IoT technology for interconnected industrial processes that ensure full traceability and quality control throughout construction.

As the 23rd connector line in Chongqing’s “Four Rings, Twenty-Two Radials, Sixty Connectors” highway network, this 160-kilometer route will significantly reduce travel times upon completion. The Dianjiang-Fengdu-Wulong Expressway will shorten journeys between Dianjiang and Fengdu by approximately one hour, and trim Dianjiang-to-Wulong trips by 45 minutes.
