CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Air China announced on December 25 that its direct flight route between Chongqing and Tokyo will be officially resumed on January 26, 2025, just before the 2025 Spring Festival.

Air China will operate the flights on Boeing 737-8 aircraft, with three weekly departures. The outbound flight will depart from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 13:10 and arrive at Tokyo Narita Airport at 18:30 (local time). The return flight will take off from Narita at 19:30 and land in Chongqing at 00:15 the following day (local time).

The route’s resumption is a response to the growing economic exchanges and rising travel demand between Chongqing and Tokyo. With frequent business and tourism connections between the two cities and Japan’s Consulate-General in Chongqing, this flight service will better meet the needs of passengers traveling between Chongqing, Tokyo, and surrounding areas and enhance convenience and travel experience for those passengers.
