In Shapingba District, a series of wonderful events will be held in turns. Chongqing Longfor Lijia Paradise Walk will host a Lantern Festival for the Spring Festival starting from December 31, 2024. The event showcases the traditional Chinese intangible cultural heritage: Zigong colored lantern making craft, featuring a stunning 100-meter themed lantern show "Carp Leaping over the Dragon Gate" and a 1-kilometer dreamy lakeside lantern show "Big Fish and Begonia".

The Daijia Alley Old Street in Yuzhong District is hosting the "Year of Snake on the Cliff" Lantern Exhibition for the Chinese New Year. In collaboration with the Chongqing Communist Youth League, the event invites young artists from Chongqing to co-create the "Year of Snake on the Cliff - 2025 Zodiac Lantern Painting." The 100 lanterns made from the painted works of the young artists are displayed on the old street.

The 5th Lunar New Year Lantern Festival at the Landmark Riverside Park in Nan'an District will last from December 27, 2024, to February 28, 2025. The 3,000-square-meter immersive light art display incorporates numerous classic Chinese elements. There will also be "Flickering Lights" light shows and interactive event "First Snow" by the riverside every Saturday and Sunday.

Songji Ancient Town in Yongchuan District is launching the "Waves Rise in Songji Welcome the Spring Festival" — 2025 Songji Ancient Town New Life Season. During the event, the ancient town will be illuminated by thousands of lights at night, recreating the bustling scene of the past.

Longxing Ancient Town in Yubei District will host the "Blessings from Ancient Town" event from January 29 to January 31, 2025. The five "Immortals" representing Fortune, Prosperity, Longevity, Joy, and Wealth will parade along the route Nanlongmen – Fengyu Gallery Bridge – Huaxia Ancestral Hall – Longxing Temple, Longzang Palace – Huilong Bridge, while interacting closely with visitors and giving red envelopes.

Mexin Wine Town in Fuling District will light up Spring Festival Lantern Festival with unique lanterns such as 100-meter long snake lantern, the twenty-four solar terms lanterns, and the Big-Eyed Snake Wishing Trees. Performances such as the Ms Wang matchmaking and dragon and snake dances will also bring joy to visitors. Additionally, activities like the Spring Festival fair on the first day of the lunar new year, "Visiting the Parental Home" parade on the second day, and the “God of Wealth Giving Red Envelopes” on the fifth day will immerse visitors in a strong festive atmosphere.

The 5th Nantian Lake Ice and Snow Tourism Season at the Nantian Lake National Tourism Resort in Fengdu will run from December 21, 2024 to February 28, 2025.
