CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The stage came alive with impassioned recitations as performers were reciting award-winning works of the 6th Chinese Classics Recitation, Writing and Interpretation Contest at Southwest University on March 23. The event simultaneously served as both the closing ceremony for the 6th contest and the launching ceremony for its 7th edition.

Organized by the Ministry of Education and National Language Commission, this national and public-benefit contest has been held every year since 2019, with over 20 million participants involved in total. The upcoming 7th contest will continue to be divided into four parts: namely “Chanting China” Classics Recitation Contest, “Poetry Education for China” Poetry Interpretation Contest, “Writing China with Ink and Brush” Chinese Character Writing Contest, and “Imprinting China” Teacher-Student Seal Engraving Contest.
