CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On April 15, workers were seen carrying out finishing touches such as paving walkways and planting greenery at the construction site of Yuantan Park in Shuitu New Town, Liangjiang New Area.

Covering an area of 100 mu, Yuantan Park is located beneath Qingxi River Bridge. The Park is planned to include a 40,000-square-meter wetland park, a 300,000-square-meter waterfront park, and 8-kilometer ecological greenways. The development will also include various recreational zones, such as a cliff-side rest station, a paper airplane observation platform, a hillside theater, a bird-watching tower, a pothole canyon, a forest sports field, and an elk-themed theater.

As of now, the progress of the wetland park had surpassed 80%, the basketball court was 80% completed, the paper airplane observation platform was 60% finished, and the elk-themed theater and Mumu Wonderland were 85% completed respectively.
