CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On April 28, at the construction site the Datang Jiangjin Gas Turbine Generation Project, a municipal key project, located in Chongqing Jiangjin Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the roar of machinery was heard from towering cranes, while engineering vehicles bustled back and forth, presenting a bustling and busy scene.

Up to now, 69% of the project’s construction has been completed, with over 1 billion yuan invested, marking the construction of Datang Group’s first F-class gas turbine power station in the Southwest region entering the final sprint phase. The project involves the construction of two 538,000 kW generator units, with a total installed capacity of 1.076 million kW. Once completed, it is expected to generate 2.6 billion kWh of electricity annually, meeting the power demand of approximately 800,000 households. Furthermore, it will enhance the emergency peak-shaving capacity of the Chongqing’s power grid, and boost the optimization of energy structure and low-carbon transformation in the industrial chain.
