CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On May 16, construction crews were racing against time at the Chengkou Renhe Grand Bridge, a pivotal project along the Ankang-Chongqing section of the Xi’an-Chongqing High-speed Railway. With all main piers completed, the project has entered its critical superstructure phase.

Situated in Chengkou County, Chongqing, the Chengkou Renhe Grand Bridge stands as a pivotal and technically demanding project on the Ankang-Chongqing section of the Xi’an-Chongqing High-speed Railway. Spanning 1,180.52 meters through Chengkou County’s rugged mountainous terrain, this engineering project exemplifies the challenges of complex bridge-tunnel transitions.

The Xi’an-Chongqing High-Speed Railway forms a key section of both the Beijing-Kunming Line and the Baotou/Yinchuan-Haikou Line within China’s “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” high-speed rail network. With a total length of 739 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 km/h, this critical infrastructure will, upon completion, drive regional economic development in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and the Guanzhong Plain urban cluster.
