Yongchuan-Bishan Expressway open for traffic

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The Yongchuan-Bishan Expressway in Chongqing was completed on May 29 and officially opened to public traffic at midnight on May 30.
With a total mileage of 25.58 kilometers, the Yongchuan-Bishan Expressway, as a two-way, four-lane expressway designed for speeds up to 100km/h, starts from Da’an Street in Yongchuan District, links the Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway under construction for capacity expansion, ends at Daxing Town in Bishan District, and connects the Bishan-Jiangjin Expressway. Along the entire length, there are a total of 15 major and medium bridges, 1 tunnel and 5 interchanges. As the expressway was open for traffic, it only takes about 20 minutes to travel from Da’an Street in Yongchuan District to Daxing Town in Bishan District, once 1 hour. This expressway, a key link in “One-Hour Commuting Circle" in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, will positively drive the industrial cooperation and smooth logistics in the western Chongqing area.
