CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- It is reported that the Huangjuetuo Yangtze River Bridge is a critical control project for the dual-lane connecting route of Chongqing-Changshou Expressway. Located approximately 2km east of the Cuntan Yangtze River Bridge, the Bridge stretches 1,260m in total, with a main span of 765m. Upon completion, it will become the world’s longest-span suspension bridge designed to accommodate both road and rail transit traffic. The Bridge is expected to be completed and open to traffic by February 2027.

The Huangjuetuo Yangtze River Bridge will serve multiple functions, including “urban expressways, major trunk roads, and rail transit”, making it a crucial component of Chongqing’s fast road network in the central urban area.
