CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On July 20, the lower-level roadway of Hongyancun Jialing River Bridge in Yuzhong District officially opened.

This newly accessible section includes the lower deck of the Hongyancun Bridge, Dishuiyan Tunnel, and the Hongyancun Interchange. This opening creates a unique scenario where vehicles and rail transit trains now share parallel paths on the same level. However, it’s important to note that there are no sidewalks on this lower deck road, and pedestrian access is strictly prohibited.

The same day saw the coordinated opening of the Zhongshutuo Interchange and the Qianwei Factory section (203 Middle School section) of Jianxin West Road Phase IV. These new routes will significantly enhance north-south connectivity across Chongqing’s central districts, improving integration between Yuzhong, Jiangbei, and Yubei areas.
