CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On July 29, workers were busy erecting scaffolding at Chongqing Hi-Tech Zone’s Neutron Science Base project site.
Faced with persistent high temperatures, the project implements staggered work shifts to continue construction. They’ve also stocked up on cooling beverages, watermelons, and other supplies to help workers beat the heat. The dedicated construction team remains on site, fully committed to advancing the project.
Located in Bafu Town, Chongqing Hi-Tech Zone, the 96-mu complex will feature nine structures with a total building area of 15,000 square meters, including a large-scale scientific equipment facility and a neutron pharmaceutical plant. Scheduled for completion by late 2025, the base will anchor a new neutron industrial hub, fostering and attracting global R&D enterprises to establish China’s premier advanced manufacturing cluster for cutting-edge science.
