CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As an important transportation corridor in the western and central areas of Chongqing’s urban core, Daxuecheng Double-line Tunnel Project has now surpassed 75% completion. It is expected to be delivered for use by the end of June next year. The Project connects to Pingshan Avenue to the west, crosses the Chongqing-Suining Expressway to the east, passes through Zhongliang Mountain, and connects to Hongcaofang Interchange on the Inner Ring Expressway. The total length of the Project is 6.8km. Once completed and put into operation, the Project will further enhance connectivity between both sides of Zhongliang Mountain and the western Chongqing region with the city center, alleviate traffic pressure in Daxuecheng Tunnel, and drive high-quality regional economic development.
